New Year's Eve trip - Bourbon Orleans Hotel
We are in our early 40's Hopefully, it will be busy and a little crazy, and that we can find some fun clubs to hang out in that are not insane. Will there be places to hang out that aren't too insane with drunken somethings? I hope! We just booked a hotel. We were then in our late 30's. We had a great time. We went out for a nice dinner and drinks and then walked until we found a bar that was not too crowded, claimed our seats and just people watched until it was time for the fireworks.

Lots of police around, so it was very safe. People were having a good time and it wasn't too rowdy. The weather was pretty nice during the day and I wore a light jacket at night. It was one of the funnest New Year's I've had.
We loved NO so much were going back again this year I'd like to try somewhere else, but there is simply no where to compare with N. So you wait in line to get into places.
No lines or cover charges to get into plenty of places since the party is, primarily, outside on the streets. Weather is great - one year there were snow flurries, but other years it was degrees at mindight. Remember that New Orleans is a lot more than Bourbon Street. If Bourbon is too young, crowded, rowdy, whatever, head over to the Marigny or another neighborhood and have a great time!
I'll be there this year for NYE! We made late night reservations at Muriels and we figured we would walk around after and see the fireworks. I can't wait!
